Hey, I'm Andrea
...formerly Z. I'm a 27-year-old graphic design professional in West Michigan who spends my make believe spare time freelancing, crafting and being a social media junkie. I'm a new mom with a beautiful baby boy and a fur child... both whom require a lot of attention.
Random and Useless Facts:
I'm a homebody and would rather stay in than go out most of the time.
OCD? Absolutely. I need everything to be neat and organized at all times.
I can't back up my car to save my life; may as well be driving a semi.
Warm fruit is disgusting.
Kitchen gadgets and organizing materials rock my socks off.
My husband and I are old people -- early date nights and in bed by 10.
I'm a big nerd.
I love dogs more than most people and those who breed and purchase bred dogs make me angry.
Holding true to my Dutch heritage, I'm both tall and cheap.
Once upon a time, I played volleyball for Ferris State.
I was married on July 17, 2010, but started dating Clay February 16, 2002.
I can do a mean chicken impersonation.
My son is the coolest kid ever. Yes, cooler than yours.
Clay
Clay is a process/plastics engineer working in West Michigan. Because he's also a huge hunting/fishing/golfing enthusiast, sometimes I'm more of a widow/crazy dog lady than wife. Clay is a scrawny white boy that often doubles as a 28-year-old messy child whom I can find anywhere in the house just by following the trail of half empty Mountain Dew cans. But I heart him.
Brody
My son Brody was born November 29, 2012 at 7:14 PM (after a long, painful 43 hour labor.) He weighed 9 lbs 2 oz and was 21 inches long. He has so much personality and is such a content/happy baby. You can always catch big smiles from him first thing in the morning. I heart my lil bug. xoxo Read about his birth story and check out the nursery!
Zora
Zora is a husky/shepherd/boxer/pit/lab mix... total mutt. She was born February 2011 and we adopted her in June that same year. She has an incredible amount of energy and personality, which is often very exhausting... but entertaining nonetheless. Zora has the wildest ears ever; one wants to stand straight up like a shepherd, but I think the pit or boxer in her makes the other one go rogue most of the time. She's a handful still firing all her puppy cylinders, but I heart her as well.
